General Operator - Double Day Shift

Location: Swindon
Pay Rate: £13.28 per hour + 22% Shift Allowance (£16.20 per hour including shift allowance)
Shift Pattern: Rotating Double Day Shift, Monday to Friday

  • Week 1: 07:00 - 15:00
  • Week 2: 15:00 - 23:00


About the Role

We are currently recruiting for General Operators to join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Swindon.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a highly regulated production environment where quality, safety, and attention to detail are essential. You will play a key role in supporting production and packaging operations while ensuring products are manufactured to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out manual packing and packaging of pharmaceutical products.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for gowning and working within cleanroom environments.
  • Support material handling activities and transfer materials into production and packing areas.
  • Maintain stock levels of production consumables and ensure materials remain within expiry dates.
  • Perform cleaning and routine maintenance of equipment and production areas.
  • Complete packaging, labelling, line clearance, and in-process quality checks.
  • Identify and report any quality or process issues to Team Leaders, Managers, or Quality Assurance teams.
  • Complete all production records accurately in line with GMP and Data Integrity requirements.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, quality, and pharmaceutical industry regulations.


What We're Looking For



Essential Requirements

  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain concentration and accuracy throughout a shift.
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow written procedures.
  • Reliable, punctual, and motivated approach to work.


Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience within pharmaceutical manufacturing, food production, or another regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of GMP, GDP, and Data Integrity principles.
  • Experience working within production, packaging, manufacturing, or cleanroom environments.
